Working on the tables. How would I consider the 50/50 Peace/War Journalism, shall i create an additional category and call it neutral or balanced?
Finished with the coding process , Now we are working on the analysis , and trying to find connection/ variation between the traditional and social media , and the international and national media .
DONE with the coding test for 2 coders and 3 coders , the persent of the agreement are 100 , 90 , and 80 persent , now we are going ahead with the coding for the rest of the data accordigly .
We finished collecting the data for our project , that include the traditional media national and international , and the social media (tweets) . Currently we are conducting the ReCal3 test for 8 English langusge Articls , and the Recal2 for another 8 Arabic language articles , and 100 tweets .
Finished reading /translating/coding 24 article from Egyptian local News paper El -Srouk, I never thought that my mother language will defeate me and consume that much time !!!!!!
There are between 3-5 articles in one news paper talking about the same issue, the differences is only the reporter and the location , eg ( article 1 is about the revolution in Cairo , and article 2 is about the revolution in El Exandria ..etc ) , do we look at all of them [...]
The team finalized the coding sheet , and we are going ahead with the data collections. I am reading and coding 18 articles from a local Egyptian news paper name El Shorouk .
