Progress / Neutral Scoring

Working on the tables. How would I consider the 50/50 Peace/War Journalism,  shall i create an additional category and call it neutral or balanced?

Which theoretical model/framework are you using exactly Khawater? What kind of coding scheme (Maslog, Lee, Lynch, Shinar, Galtung)?

I am using Galtung 10 Peace indicators, and 10 war indicators, and in some of the articles I have the sum of peace and war indicators are the same figure.

I create another Colum and I name it balance!!! Not sure how correct this could be???

In case one NP article scores on 4 PJ indicators and on 4 WJ indicators? Let’s talk about this tomorrow… Basically, I’d strongly recommend to work with the mean scores (and percentages) instead of absolute numbers anyway. These are the really interesting and more meaningful findings you’d ground your interpretations and comparisons on. Try to report the results in a similar fashion as I’ve sketched on the whiteboard this morning. And see: Hackett 2009:41,43; Ross 2009. Hope that helps…
