Peace Journalism is when editors and reporters make choices on what and how to report a conflict situation, that gives the society the opportunity to value and consider non-violent ways to respond to that situation
This would be defined as the physical account of a conflict, and also the structural and cultural causes of violence as they affect lives of the people with the aim of providing platform for communication between same, while suggesting solutions and or building initiatives that could reduce the violent.
The Concept Peace Journalism consists of the reporter’s objectivity towards an incident and considers a non violent response to the conflict.
Peace journalism is the opposit of war journalism. It provides a chance for communication between conflicting parties and at the same time offer possible solutions or initatives. Where as war journalism tends to view conflicts in terms of victory or defeat
Peace journalism is reporting that sees the conflicts through non-violence lenses and covers it by applying relative objectivity with the aim of achieving a peaceful solution to the conflict.
Peace journalism includes three salient features : 1) Avoidance of demonizing language 2)A Nonpartisan Approach 3)A Multiparty Orientation
