According to our team work divide, I have surveyed several local & international Newspapers so far that foucs on the revolution in Egypt in order to delve into the major data collection and analysis for our Research Project
I managed to gather 4000 tweets in both languages Arabic and English from national and international twitterers. Horry, I will start coding tonight, its gonna take long and hard work. ABDALLAH
Team Leader can you clarify on the section of names you indicated on the excel sheet? because according to the articles I collected so far from Amnesty, none has a name nor author, just the Organization.
Gathered Data about the NGOs (Mercycorps and USAAID) ranging from 16th Jan- 20Ocober 2011. I have twenty press releases from the two NGOs on Libyan conflict. Agreed on the coding instruction and categorised the process into Serial number as J1, I.D, Date, Name of the News paper, Location of the press release (eiter international or National) and indicators (War [...]

There are between 3-5 articles in one news paper talking about the same issue, the differences is only the reporter and the location , eg ( article 1 is about the revolution in Cairo , and article 2 is about the revolution in El Exandria ..etc ) , do we look at all of them [...]
We have set a coding manual and developed a spreadsheet. Project work is on the race and start collecting datas after finalizing the coding manual with the groups. It is hard and with much hard labor but hopefully i wil achieve the end result.
